I spent most of my day trying to make a web page (and setting up an account with my server). I've never had any experience with html, and the web server stuff is complicated too, so it's a steep learning curve! But I've finally decided I should drag myself into the late 20th century and at least learn about it, even if I don't keep it up!
Then I thought, "Well what is it (the website) all about?", and I thought I would join the many lovely ladies (and not a few men) out there with rec sites for slash fanfiction. I'm limiting it to X Files and SGA, so far, only because that's my interest! I wanted to rec a few journals too, so if you would like me to put your web and LJ/story sites on and if you know I've sent you fb on your stories, please let me know if you would like that. The webpage name will be "Actual Minds, Possible Worlds" - so far, anyway!
I would much appreciate permission to link, as I haven't got any permissions yet (because this is my first request)!
I also worked out Skype Out, and bought some credit for the mobile and landlines, so now I can call anywhere very cheaply using VoIP (voiceover internet protocol) from my computer. It was nice to speak to all my family and friends at home and far away, today!
