... He was a formative influence for me, literature-wise. Yup! That lets ya'll know I'm a baby boomer! Tail end for sure, but I just snicked in there. I don't think it's too off topic to mention it since most of my flist is SF oriented, and time and space travel was an important device to get across the mental trauma in Slaugherhouse 5, not to mention some of his earlier pieces.

Jan. 26th, 2007 09:11 amThe Sydney Festival has just been on and my Mum went to see the stage adaptation of the May Gibbs Australian children's classic "Snugglepot and Cuddlepie". Mum said it was fabulous, and it's made me homesick for things Australian. So I've changed the look of my journal. ( read more )
