Imagine my surprise waking up yesterday morning to find my Irresistible episode review in [livejournal.com profile] sga_newsletter. I have no idea how these mysterious things happen, but if it was someone on my flist, then *bighugs* to you. Actually, I'm a bit shy about wider distribution (yes, I almost had a heart attack *g*) and I didn't think this review was particularly insightful or original, so I immediately edited it, of course LOL!! Anyway, if it WAS someone I know, thanks for the gentle push ... and please let me know if it was you ;-)so I can thank you more personally!

I found my reviews were going up without me knowing it too. I was a bit put out at the time because if I'd known I wouldn't have included lots of personal info in the posts too! Now I know I'm more careful. I think the newsletter has a staff of thousands trawling through our every post! But I'm glad yours are on there as you always write such cool things. I haven't read your latest review yet because I'm waiting until I've seen the episodes.

Funnily enough, about an hour after I posted this this morning, I stumbled on an sga Glee post (maybe smittywing's but I forget) in which s/he gleed about how sga _newsletter did so much hard work scouting out all these things. It was a shock and the pieces tumbled into place (although not proof per se). So I have been basically waiting for info ... so thank you. You've added more weight to my current thoughts. My god, people actually go looking to collate all this stuff? The effort must be gargantuan. I just thought we would have to submit ourselves. I do question the appropriateness to do that though ... Not that I'm not chuffed in a way, but it was out of the blue and I didn't know. It will certainly raise some questions for me about posting "not so well edited stuff" to my flist. It was another deal entirely to get that wider distribution, so it will probably really cramp my style.

cool things

Thank you ... re writing cool things ... I just didn't think that so much for the Irresistible review. I probably would have been less freaked with my review for Mis getting to sga_news *g* but you're a treasure for saying so.

The same thing happened to me - I hadn't even written a proper review, just some silly thoughts after watching the eps. Mostly, 'omg John & Rodney are so hot' type things - so goodness knows what anyone reading after linking to my lj from the comm thought! LOL

I must have missed your review though (I blame Martin Gero & his quest to become an actor. *g*)
Off to check!

I know what you mean about the proper review! My review was mostly OMG Rodney and John! too, but you know me ... can't say anything briefly LOL! I read your eps comments on your personal LJ entry from my flist. I didn't reply (I think) partly because I was still thinking about the eps themselves and trying to get my own thoughts in order. I wasn't even planning to write a review at that point. It's only tonight I wrote some Word doc thoughts for PP, but they are still not in shape. And now that you mention it I did see your thoughts in the listing too. I did wonder at the time ... because you usually just have a bit more cohesion in the more official type things you post LOL! Oh, and I so totally agreed about it not being cool of Mitchell to treat Rodney that way, I'm rather more aggravated by the way they/the writers set the whole meeting thing up and the way he was treated - even a bit displeased with John too, I'm afraid ... You were much more generous hearted.

Oh that MG Quest was so funny. I also listened to Allies comm today. There's lots of interesting stuff in that. I really enjoyed DH's questions about directing and cinematography. He's so interested in that for his own pursuits, but it's really educational for us too. He was lapping up stuff like "barrel-roll" shots" (because of his more recent experiences with ADB) and other angle effects from MG and AM.
