Sad, but I'm not surprised. So many koalas suffer from chlamydia. :(

I read about this on the BBC website and wondered if you knew. It's such a sad ending to such an inspirational story.

I only found out about it from the second link. Yeah, it is a sad ending. Chlamydia is so devastating to the koalas.

I'm a bit creeped out by the taxidermy too, - maybe some of the aboriginal dead spirits thing has rubbed off on me. I tend to associate it with attitudes from colonial times.

Yeah it is sad. Interesting though that if they'd never rescued her, she might have died a lingering, painful death in the bush.

Yeah, me too. I had a google & squizz at The Southern Ash Wildlife Shelter Facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=126455025211) and Sam the Koala.com.au (http://www.samthekoala.com.au/), but didn't find any updates of Bob.

I was a bit surprised that they had started a com and facebook page but no news on other 'patients', esp. Bob.

But yeah, I'm taking the same attitude and *crosses fingers*.
