Top Gear ...



What's this look like? Too pale/light/blurry? How would you change it? I'm totally open to ideas!

The child rang tonight and we had a good chat for an hour. Main topic - the Olympic Torch shamozzle! Go Protesters! ... and my Mum :( on which topic there is no change in my thinking.

Interview with the President of the school for my full time job tomorrow at 1:45. I hemmed and ironed my new trousers in prep. Got my apartment in order - all clean! Then made potato salad for dinner, with baby greens :-)

The icon is a bit pale. Maybe you could add a little contrast to it? What program do you use?

LOL! Yeah, I LOVE The Stig! Oh and I thanks for the icon feedback. I'll try for some more contrast. I use PS CS2 ... from you ;-)

awesome!! Then I'm on home turf and can better describe what I would do.

I would duplicate the layer and set it to Soft Light. If that's too dark, I would duplicate the base again and set it to screen. And then adjust the opacity so that it looks good. Then I would use Layers - New Adjustments - Levels and that way bring out the contrast even more. But those are just the first steps I'd take. It's hard to know what to do just in theory since I'm not actually working on the icon myself. Then I'd perhaps use some Filters - Sharpen - Unsharp Mask.

But yeah, I hope that helps at all :P

Thanks! Good advice! Soft Light hardly changed it, so I did the Levels as well and that made a difference. I also upped the cyans in Selective Colour. I didn't notice much difference with the Sharpen/Unsharpen Mask though, but I think this is better overall. Changed the text too.

Is there any significance to the Qs in your Jeremy icon?

your icon is so much better now! I can see right away that it is the Stig :D

The Q's in my icon are just a texture because I felt it needed something more. Doesn't mean anything.
